FAQ

Common questions about AbroadQ.

Answers about readiness scores, audits, route coverage, payments, evidence, privacy, and support boundaries.

Product basics

What does AbroadQ do?

AbroadQ helps students and professionals compare study and skilled-migration routes, understand readiness gaps, track evidence, run what-if simulations, and generate source-backed planning audits.

Is AbroadQ an immigration consultant, lawyer, or agent?

No. AbroadQ is an educational planning product. It does not provide legal, immigration, admissions, financial, tax, recruitment, or government advice.

Who is the product built for first?

The first version is focused on Indian students and professionals comparing realistic routes to Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, and New Zealand.

Scores, audits, and accuracy

Does a high score mean I will be approved?

No. Scores are readiness indicators, not approval probabilities. Government, university, employer, and regulator decisions depend on official rules, evidence, timing, discretion, and facts that may not be captured in the app.

How are scores calculated?

Scores are calculated by a deterministic scoring engine using your profile, configured route logic, score components, hard gates, cautions, missing inputs, and source freshness. AI is not the source of truth for score calculation.

Why can a route show a warning even when the score looks good?

Some issues, such as prior refusals, inconsistent documents, overstay history, criminal concerns, or missing critical inputs, can lower confidence or trigger caution flags even when other profile areas are strong.

What does the full audit add?

The full audit is a saved snapshot of your route score, profile summary, core requirements, main things to review, missing-input prompts, source notes, and action plan. It is useful for discussion and planning, not as an official application assessment.

Countries and route coverage

Which countries are supported?

The current student flow supports Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, the United States, and New Zealand. The current professional flow supports Canada, Germany, Australia, the United States, and New Zealand.

Will more countries be added?

Yes, country coverage can expand after the current route logic, source freshness, and audit format are stable. The product is designed so additional routes can be added over time.

Can I use AbroadQ if I already know my destination?

Yes. You can still use the questionnaire, route plan, evidence checklist, audit, and simulator to identify missing evidence and next actions for a selected destination.

Payments, refunds, and access

How much does the audit cost?

The current MVP audit price is shown on the Pricing page and during audit unlock. Pricing may change as the product evolves.

Can I request a refund?

You can contact support@abroadq.com within 7 days for support review if there is a duplicate charge, failed unlock, missing PDF access, or a generated audit that is unusable because of a technical error. Disagreement with a score or an immigration outcome is not a refund basis.

Can I download a PDF?

Yes. PDF download is available after the audit is unlocked.

Evidence, privacy, and account controls

Can I upload documents?

Yes. Uploaded files are stored privately and accessed through signed links when needed. Do not upload passwords, portal credentials, forged documents, or files you are not authorized to use.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. Settings includes JSON export, profile-owned data deletion, and a full account deletion request flow.

Is my data used for AI scoring?

No. The score is calculated by deterministic rules. Future AI features may explain results or assist support workflows, but they should not replace the scoring engine as the source of truth.

Support and cautions

How do I contact support?

Use the Support page or email support@abroadq.com. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

What should I do when caution flags appear?

Use caution flags as prompts to verify your facts, check official sources, and seek independent qualified advice where needed before making irreversible decisions.

Does AbroadQ provide legal or immigration advice?

No. AbroadQ does not create a lawyer-client, consultant-client, or professional advisory relationship.
