Study in the UK from India: course, funding and evidence planning
Choose a UK course by its requirements, duration and full cost. Research scholarships alongside your shortlist, and keep an admission offer, a funding award and visa readiness as separate milestones.

Use the course page as your starting point
The British Council provides different application guidance for undergraduate and postgraduate study. Follow the process specified by the university for your course level and intake.
Create one record per program. Include the exact course name, entry requirements, application route, language evidence, fees, duration and deadline. Record conditional requirements separately so an offer does not hide unfinished tasks.

Compare the full course cost
The British Council notes that many UK postgraduate courses can be completed in one year, but you should confirm the duration and fees of your chosen course. The city and your living arrangements also affect the budget.
Ask when tuition deposits and other payments are due. A plan may appear affordable over a year while still having a cash shortfall before arrival. Keep a dated schedule of confirmed funding and required payments rather than one total.
- Tuition: use the institution's international fee for your course and intake.
- Living costs: estimate the full period and your intended city.
- Upfront costs: record deposits, travel, insurance or other applicable charges.
- Funding: distinguish a confirmed award from a scholarship application.

Check the scholarship against the exact course
For each opportunity, confirm the eligible nationality or residence, institution, course, year and application process. A provider's general scholarship page is the beginning of this check, not confirmation of your fit.
Our UK scholarship guide explains how to compare opportunities, and the GREAT Scholarships guide shows how to read a provider example without treating it as an open or guaranteed award.
Separate university admission from visa evidence
GOV.UK lists a valid passport or travel document and a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies from the course provider among the Student visa documents. Additional evidence can depend on the applicant's circumstances. Check the current official list before preparing a submission.
In your planning checklist, use separate columns for course admission, university conditions, funding and visa documentation. An item can be complete in one column while another still requires action. AbroadQ can help organize those gaps; it does not issue a CAS or decide a visa application.
